These listings indicate the midwife’s office location. Midwives often travel far beyond their location to attend clients, so please don’t hesitate to contact a midwife who interests you, even if she may be geographically distant.

Advertisement on this website does not constitute an endorsement by the Colorado Midwives Association; it is a service we provide to our members and to home birth consumers. All prospective clients are encouraged to research the credentials, experience and background of any midwife prior to engaging her or his services. It is wise to begin at the Department of Regulatory Agencies and their Automated Li-censure Information System Online to check the status of an individual’s license.

Birthwise Midwifery CareI've had a homebirth practice since 1976. In the past 38 years, I have assisted just over 3,000 families birth their babies in the comfort and safety of their own homes. Prior to my midwifery practice, I worked in Phoenix, Arizona, as a Labor/Deliver Room RN. It was my growing concern from watching births being managed and manipulated by medical intervention, resulting in medically induced complications and increased Cesarean Sections that drove me to seek a way to offer women an alternative way to birth their babies. Working from my home-office on the north-west side of Loveland, I offer a free consultation visit and provide complete prenatal care, nutritional counseling, labor/birth/postpartum and well woman care, serving women from the Longmont area to the Wyoming border. You can download my “Informed Choice Agreement” from my web site for more specific information about my practice. I’d love to meet with you to discuss your upcoming birth

“Grounded in Mother’s Intuition” What does intuition mean? “Intuition is the ability to understand or know something without conscious reasoning.” As a midwife I have taken many years to learn and understand how pregnancy and birth works and how to support a family through the birthing process. But how about supporting the mother’s (and partner’s) intuition when it comes to the birth of their child? At Aspen Roots Midwifery, I want to not only grow the knowledge and understanding of how birth works with informed consent of a wide variety of related subjects, I also want to nurture “Mother’s Intuition”. This is the ability to trust one’s self in the decisions they want or need to make. Our appointments are not rushed. They last from 60-90 minutes and we really get to know each other! This is a time to explore the realms of pregnancy and birth and how you personally feel about it. Pregnancy is 9 months, and luckily not overnight! This is a time to grow into the role of being a parent, or becoming a parent again! I would love to support you on your journey! ~ Offering Midwifery Care, Doula Care, and Placenta Services. ~Heidi has over 15 years of experience of working with homeopathy for the pregnancy, labor and birth settings. ~ Follow us at Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/AspenRootsMidwifery/

I have been working with expecting mothers and their wonderful babies since 2003. I worked as an apprentice and a Midwife at a birth center where I attended both home and birth center births in Bozeman, MT from 2010-2015. I was born and raised in Mexico, to a large family most of whom had home-births. I am fluent in Spanish and English! I was born into the hands of a midwife, and that very same midwife caught my first daughter. I have had 5 home births. My intention as your midwife is to integrate your dreams and desires for an ideal birth with safe-evidence based care and experience. Feel free to contact me directly or checkout my website for more information.

Hi! I’m Natalie, mother of two young children, both born at home. My hobbies include kickboxing, crocheting, flamenco dancing, traveling (once upon a time), pottery and finding the perfect latte. I also love attending births, it’s such an honor! It’s great getting to know growing new families. I like spending time getting to know my clients. And yes, LGBTQ+, and all other diversities of people are welcome in my practice. As a community midwife, I offer compassionate, highly personalized, evidence-based care throughout the childbearing year. I believe that homebirth is a safe option for those that know they want more control over their birth, with less unnecessary interventions and more holistic options such as rebozo, waterbirth, delayed cord clamping, and being skin-to-skin with their newborn baby. In collaboration with the Rising Wisdom Collective, we are offering free community gatherings around pregnancy, postpartum, nursing and bereavement.

Beautiful Births, LLC

My first child was born in a hospital with an obstetrician.  Although at the end of the process I was healthy with a healthy baby, the birth was unnecessarily very interventive and left me questioning the way birth is viewed in this country.  With each new pregnancy, I moved further from the traditional model of care toward the Midwifery Model of Care, with my 2nd child begin born in a hospital with a midwife, and my 3rd child being born in a birth center with a midwife.  By the time I was pregnant with my 4th child, I knew it still wasn’t enough.  During my pregnancy, my husband and I decided that we would have a homebirth.  In October of 2007, our daughter was born at home into the loving hands of a midwife.  This amazing experience not only transformed myself, but it also transformed my whole family.  When I told my husband and kids immediately after the birth that I felt called to midwifery, they were very excited and supportive for me to begin the journey toward helping women have the same amazing experience we had. I began studying midwifery at the Midwives College of Utah.  I graduated with an ASM degree, with a 4.0 GPA, and am currently an MSM candidate at the Midwives College of Utah.  I am a Certified Professional Midwife and Colorado Registered Midwife.  I have been attending births since 2009 and still revel in the beauty of every single birth.  I offer comprehensive and compassionate maternity care to all of the women I am privileged to serve, adhering to the Midwives Model of Care, which emphasizes informed consent and evidence-based practice.  I would love to walk with you through your birth journey.  Please call or email to schedule your free initial consultation.
